These days, many new printing methods or techniques have been introduced for making flyers, which is all due to the advancements made in printing technology. And with these new techniques in flyer printing, it’s sometimes hard to pick which of these are ideal for your prints. Now, what are these printing techniques?
Okay, first is offset printing, which is a printing technique that uses traditional printing machines to produce high quality prints. This printing technique may usually take a longer time to perform but it promises to provide better ink saturation, which makes the images and layout of your prints look more beautiful.
This process also has fine line screens which make the flyers look smoother and seamless. Offset printing also allows for a wider range of finishing techniques like embossing or UV coating. It can also print on different printing stocks and in different shapes and sizes.
The second printing technique used today is digital printing. This printing technique is known for its fast printing capability. This printing technique is ideal if you are in a tight deadline. Usually, a user can get their prints in a matter of 2 to 5 days with this printing technique.
Nevertheless, even with digital printing’s fast printing capability, a user will also be capable of printing flyers that contain very detailed images and layouts. Machines used for this printing method are very accurate and are reliable for printing flyers with excellent quality.
Now, for the third type of method used for flyer printing today is color printing. This printing process has two types;
• Four color printing – a process that divides an image into four colored images. Then the four colored images are put on printing plates and so on. This type of color printing process is able to provide high quality colored flyers.
• Six color printing – a process similar to four color printing, but this divides an image into six colored images. The result of this is as good as four color printing, if not better.
Color printing process is usually incorporated with digital printing.
Another process involved in flyer printing is called pantone matching system. This is a color matching standard used by press or offset printing. This provides highly accurate printed flyers. This also makes flyers contain bright colors.
All these processes are able to provide high quality prints. The only thing that will make them more ideal is their affordability.
