Alcoholics use to hide their liquor in many places out of the other's reach, to prevent their problem to be discovered. Such a place is the toilet tank. If the suspicion of drugs or alcohol presence in one's home exists, they should be searched for exactly in the most unexpected places.
Fluctuating behavior, lack of attention at job or school, neglecting the activities that person used to enjoy, new suspect entourage, depression, confusion and secrecy, suggest a possible alcohol addiction.
The following questionnaire will be addressed by a specialist to the person suspected to have alcohol addiction problems:

* - Do you need to have a drink daily, at the same hour?
* - Is drinking the first thing you do in the morning?
* - Does drinking affect your family life?
* - Do you experience shame or guilt after you drink?
* - Do you use alcohol to give you courage?
* - Do you forget important matters?
* - Do you think of excuses to have more than one drink?
* - Are there times when you drink alone?
* - Have been drinking and driving?
* - Did you have legal problems?
* - Do the employers of your family members appear bothered by your drinking?
* - Do you drink because you feel lonely?
* - Has drinking any influence on your sleep?
* - Have you experienced short-term memory problems?
* - Was your image affected by alcohol?
* - Do you want to drink after a party?
* - Have your ambition or efficiency suffered because of alcohol?
One positive answer means an increased risk, but more than three should make you see a doctor a doctor immediately.
There are many available diagnosing tests, as breath analysis, blood exams for alcohol, or the tests of urine and hair analysis. In case you suspect a possible alcohol abuse, give it the importance it deserves and address a specialist.
