Travel is Top-level domain submitted to ICANN for approval as a sponsored TLD. It would be restricted to the use of travel agents, airlines, bed and breakfast operators, tourism bureaus, and others in the travel industry. Travel is the transport of people on a trip or journey. Reasons for travel include:
*Tourism—travel for recreation. This may apply to the travel itself, or the travel may just be the necessary investment to arrive at a desired location.
*Visiting friends and family*
Trade*Commuting–going to various routine activities, such as work or meetings.*
Migration—travel to began life somewhere else; nomadic people do this*
Pilgrimages—travel for religious reasons.

Mass travel could only develop with two crucial features:
1. improvements in technology allowed the transport of large numbers of people in a short space of time to places of
leisure interest, and
2. greater numbers of people began to enjoy the benefits of
leisure time.
The real age of international mass travel began with the growth of air travel after World War Two. In the immediate post-war period, there was a surplus of transport aircraft, such as the popular and reliable Douglas Dakota, and a number of ex military pilots ready to fly them.
